Improving child health together

The Parent and Baby Project is looking at how food allergies develop in babies to see if they can be prevented.
The project plans to monitor what babies are given to eat and drink in their first year of life to see how this could affect the development of food allergies.
The current NHS advice is for babies to be introduced to solid foods at around 6 months of age.
We aim to include a diverse group of families to ensure our findings are representative of all children in the UK today.
We are proud to be working with the charity Anaphylaxis UK.
The trial team includes an experienced group of researchers, healthcare professionals and parents working together to give babies the best chance of growing up without food allergy.
